Looking for advice bush whacking across us-Canada border

Heard a couple of things. Apparently it's best to cross near Montreal or Winnipeg but details I don't have. If you or someone you know has done this please get at me maybe a pm or whatever. I need to know EXACTLY where to cross. I know this is easy enough to do because each summer I meet plenty if American hobos in Toronto so please no 'cant be done' shit cause I know that's bull.

I used to walk through the woods into Canada from Vermont all the time. I've had friends do it in Maine too.

Or get a cheap canoe, load your shit in it, and hit up Lake Champlain

Unsure if I should revive this post or start a new one. I'm looking to get my girlfriend over the border with my somewhere in New England, we've had problems because of criminal shit in the past. If anyone would want to PM me some personal experiences or advice it would be appreciated.
